A Night We Will Never Forget: Our Angels Den Double Win
We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredible news from The Clare Foundation’s Angels Den.
Kindness in Bucks was selected as one of just ten finalists invited to pitch at this year’s event. After weeks of preparation, Amanda and Louise took to the stage to share our story, the growing need within our community and our plans for the future.
We were delighted to receive funding from the Angels Den panel, but the evening became even more special when Kindness in Bucks was also announced as the winner of the Community Prize, voted for by everyone in the room.
Winning both awards was an incredibly proud and emotional moment for our whole team.
From a Small Idea to Hundreds of Families Supported
Kindness in Bucks began in 2023 with a simple aim: to ensure that local families facing difficult circumstances had the essential items they needed to welcome their babies safely.
Since then, we have delivered more than 700 Bundles of Kindness baby baskets through local midwives and health visitors. Each basket contains a Moses basket, a new mattress and essential items for both baby and mum, all prepared with care and dignity.
Alongside our baby baskets, we now run free and inclusive community events, including dads’ playgroups, coffee mornings, wellness walks and afternoon teas. These events help reduce isolation and create welcoming spaces where local people can meet, talk and feel supported.
What This Win Means for Kindness in Bucks
The support from Angels Den will help us strengthen Kindness in Bucks and reach even more families across Buckinghamshire.
It will enable us to continue providing our Bundles of Kindness, develop our community events, cover essential running and storage costs and build a stronger foundation for the future.
Most importantly, it gives our small team the support and confidence to continue responding to the growing number of referrals we receive.
