How You Can Support Local Families and NHS Staff Across Buckinghamshire
Help Us Bring Christmas Kindness to People Across Buckinghamshire. Christmas is a time for kindness, community and coming together. However, for many people across Buckinghamshire, the festive season can be especially difficult.
This Christmas, Kindness in Bucks CIC is once again inviting our wonderful community to help us create thoughtful Christmas shoeboxes for local families, children in hospital, pregnant mums and NHS staff working throughout the festive period.
Each shoebox is filled with carefully chosen gifts and essentials to remind someone that they are valued, remembered and cared for at Christmas.
Who Will Receive Our Christmas Shoeboxes?
Through our Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2026, we’ll be delivering boxes to:
• Local families across Buckinghamshire experiencing financial pressure or hardship
• Children spending Christmas in hospital
• Pregnant mums preparing for the arrival of their baby
• NHS nurses, midwives and hospital staff working over Christmas
The hospitals we support include Wexham Park Hospital, High Wycombe Hospital, Amersham Hospital and Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
What Goes Inside a Christmas Shoebox?
Each shoebox contains around eight brand-new items, carefully selected for the recipient.
All donated items must be new and unused so that every shoebox feels like a special Christmas gift.

Children: Pyjamas, Slippers, Colouring Book, Pens, Teddy, x2 Small Toys, Nut free sweet treat
Teenager: Socks, Reading Book, Note Book, Pens, Toiletries, x2 Small Games, Nut free sweet treat
Pregnant Mum: Socks, Reading Book, Beauty products, Note Book, Pens, Body cream, x2 small treats for baby, Nut free sweet treat
NHS staff: Socks, Reading Book, Note Book, Pens, Candle, Hand cream, Nut free sweet treat
Can Schools, Groups and Businesses Get Involved?
Absolutely. Each year, schools, nurseries, community groups and local businesses across Buckinghamshire play a huge part in making our Christmas Shoebox Appeal possible.
You could:
• Organise a collection of new items
• Fill Christmas shoeboxes as a class, group or team
• Host a fundraising activity
• Make a donation to help us fill and deliver more shoeboxes

Why We Do This
Behind every shoebox is a person who deserves to know they have not been forgotten.
It could be a child spending Christmas in hospital, a family facing an incredibly difficult time, a pregnant mum preparing for a new arrival or a nurse finishing a long Christmas shift.
Each shoebox is a simple but meaningful reminder that somebody cares and that kindness is still at the heart of our local community.
