Hannah and Alison would like to say a massive thank you to all of our wonderful followers and KIB community for your support this year. Below is a quick round up of all the work Kindness in Bucks has fulfilled in the community during 2023!
Bundles of Kindness
Since January 2023, we made and donated over 200 special parcels for newborn babies.
Each parcel included a moses basket, sheets, blanket, nappies, baby essentials and a little something for mum. All items were donated by the community or paid for by our fundraising events. These beautiful and useful bundles have then been donated to midwives and healthcare workers in Buckinghamshire. If you would would like to donate to this initiative, you can find out more here.
Social Events
After many requests from the community, we started our first social event in May 2023. Since then we hosted a further 66 events (!) including evening walks, coffee mornings, playgroups, family walks, dad playgroups and a nearly new sale and swap shop.
All events were run by local volunteers and have been free of charge for the community with the swap shop having a £1 entry fee. The idea behind these events was for the community to get out the house, exercise, be social and to help boost moods, happiness, and help reduce loneliness in Bucks.
Christmas Shoe Box Appeal
From a standing start, we were delighted to receive 101 Christmas shoe boxes for the local community, midwives, children - and mums-to-be were made to feel a little special and happier on Christmas morning! So thank you to everyone who donated and made this happen.
Community Support Award
We were humbled to be nominated by the community for a Buckinghamshire community award. The Red Kite Days Out Awards receive thousands of nominations and Kindness in Bucks were voted winners for the Community Support Award!

Joyful January
This year we have had support from many businesses in the community resulting in 119 free events for everyone to attend this January 2024.
These include fitness classes, reiki, first aid sessions, nutritional and mental health talks, boot camps, swimming classes, music and dance classes, yoga, postnatal classes and many many more.
