Our Community Events & Experiences Round-Up
At Kindness in Bucks, our mission is simple: to bring people together, reduce isolation and create opportunities for connection, learning and joy. Over the past year, we’ve been proud to deliver a wide range of free and low-cost community events across Buckinghamshire – supporting babies, children, parents, adults and elderly residents alike.
Here’s a look back at some of the incredible activities made possible by our community, partners and volunteers.

☕ Coffee Mornings at Dove Café, Holtspur
Our coffee mornings have become a lifeline for many parents and carers. With toys, soft play, friendly conversation and a relaxed atmosphere, these sessions offer connection, reassurance and a sense of belonging.
👨👧 Dads Playgroups – Beaconsfield & Holtspur
A real highlight of the year. Our themed dads playgroups (Easter, Halloween and Christmas) bring dads and children together for play, socialising and fun.
With bacon sandwiches, hot drinks, giveaways and a welcoming environment, these sessions create space for dads to connect while children enjoy themselves.
🌸 Flower Picking with Toddlers – Great Missenden
A beautiful, gentle outdoor event where toddlers explored nature, picked flowers and shared joyful moments with parents and carers.
🍰 Afternoon Tea for the Elderly – High Wycombe & Hazlemere
We were honoured to host afternoon teas for elderly residents, collecting guests by minibus and giving them a truly special day out. For many, it was about friendship, laughter and feeling valued – moments that matter deeply.
🧹 Community Litter Picks – Hazlemere
Families and volunteers came together to care for local spaces through our community litter picks. A great example of kindness in action and community pride.
👶 Baby Basket Making Sessions – Hazlemere & Beaconsfield
Our volunteer-led baby basket sessions brought people together to pack essential items for newborns and families in need – supporting parents in those vital early months.

🎄 Christmas Shoebox Wrapping – Holmer Green
The festive season saw volunteers gather to wrap hundreds of Christmas shoeboxes, each one filled with love and kindness for children and families across our community.
🚶♀️ Walks for Wellbeing
• Adult walks twice weekly in Hazlemere
• Family and children’s walks in Marlow
These walks offer fresh air, gentle movement and meaningful conversations – supporting both physical and mental wellbeing in an inclusive way.
